Bops, Bangers, & Jamz
Alright homies, I’m unloading songs I found earlier this summer. A lot of these are relatively unknown artists, so this playlist lives on Soundcloud. Let me know your favorites and enjoy!
Heavy Rotations
Chicago’s NoName released her excellent debut album Room 25. NoName is one of the strongest voices coming out of the city right now. Room 25 follows up the incredible mixtape Telefone.
Continuing with the jazz influenced hip-hop theme, I am absolutely LOVING Hello, Summer by Pat Van Dyke. I don’t know much else about this guy, but this album has the vibezzzz maaaaan!
MIXED
I’m loving this set from Italian DJ & Producer Angelo Ferreri for Traxsource.
One of my favorites, Four Tet, recently released a live set (close to a DJ mix) from 2010. It featuring some of my favorite cuts from his LP There is Love in You.
PODFOTAINMENT
- John C Reilly joined The Bill Simmons Podcast for a super fun, funny, and entertaining conversation about his career and my favorite city, Chicago.
- Continuing down a path that avoids the news, Nick Kroll was on Joe Rogan‘s show for a very funny conversation covered his new show, Burning Man, and more mindless entertainment.
- My friend sent me an older podcast that flipped my current ideas on diet upside down. Check out Dr. Valter Longo on The Kevin Rose Show.
- Sam Harris spoke with Martie Hasleton about sex and gender in 2018 and the conversation is fascinating.
