One of my favorite Chicago artists, Ryley Walker, just released a full cover album of Dave Matthews Band’s lost album, The Lillywhite Sessions. It’s been really fun to listen to all the press leading up to this album, and also hear these songs reimagined in a hybrid style of blues and jazz and indie that is all very Chicago sounding.
My favorite tracks are “Grace is Gone,” “Bartender,” and “Diggin’ a Ditch.”
