My favorite young producer coming out of Chicago, Monte Booker, finally released his first single, “Interstellar.” The first cut features fellow Chicagoan and Zero Fatigue member, Bari, on vocals. The second edit is house-ier version of the same song.
You know his tracks from most Smino’s blckswn release and Ravyn Lenae’s early EPs. The production is so interesting, and I think it is the most vital component of the collective’s music that separates them from the crowded hip hop scene in Chicago.
Hopefully this means we’ll get his debut album by this summer. I’m very excited for this young artist’s future and really hope the album helps get him on everyone’s radar.
