Turnover

I discovered a new band last week (thanks to Pitchfork) by the name of Turnover.

From what I can gather, they’re originally from Virginia but have since relocated to California, and you can hear the influence.

I find it interesting that they started out as a pretty straight forward pop-punk band (think Get up Kids or Saves the Day), and have no glided into a hazy dream-pop band (Tycho meets Minus the Bear meets School of Seven Bells, maybe?). Check out their first release, Magnolia, to see the evolution for yourself. Their second album, Peripheral Vision, moves them into the direction of the album they just put out, Good Nature.

Good Nature is a very solid release from the band. My girlfriend and I have been listening to it on repeat since last week. I highly recommend it and checking these guys out.
